Cove Creek Lower Group Camp is nestled along Cove Creek in the lush forests of the Appalachian Mountains in western NC. The site offers opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, & fishing in one of the most scenic areas in the state. Come stay for 1, 2 or 3 nights. We have it Thursday to Sunday.

About the event
FALL CAMPOUT AT LOWER COVE CREEK GROUP SITE
Thursday October 22 - Sunday October 26, 2026
The group site has plenty of room for tents and RVs. It is equipped with picnic tables, vault toilets, campfire rings and drinking water. You will camp next to your vehicle.
The campground lies in Pisgah National Forest in Western North Carolina.
The surrounding land boasts mile-high peaks, cascading waterfalls and slopes thickly forested with hardwoods. The group camping area is adjacent to both Cove Creek and the beautiful Davidson River.
Visitors should note that a creek crossing is required on the road leading to the campground. Heavy rains may temporarily make crossing impossible; a four-wheel drive or high clearance vehicle is recommended.
